The 10th Asia-Pacific Traditional Arts Festival – Taiwan

The 10th edition of Asia-Pacific Traditional Arts Festival will take place from October 1 to 10, 2011 at the National Center for Traditional Arts, a 24-hectare cultural complex located in I-Lan County, Taiwan.  The Festival is presented by the National Center for Traditional Arts with sponsorship of the Council for Cultural Affairs (CCA).  About 120 traditional arts groups from 23 Asian Pacific countries had been invited to the Festival over the past years.

In celebration of its 10th year, the Festival is calling for international cultural groups / traditional art masters / handicraft artists from Asian Pacific countries to join the Festival this special year to share our traditional arts as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, to show the cultural diversity of the world.  International dance/theater groups of 15~18 members, or music groups of 5~8 members, are welcomed to apply for the participation in the Festival.  The programs of the Festival will include opening/closing ceremony, theater and outdoor performances, campus and community exchange programs, demonstration and sales of handicrafts, parade, reception and sightseeing activities.  The Festival will provide local hotel, three meals, transportation, insurance, and per diem during the Festival to invited groups.
