The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) started the annual military music performances from 3rd November to 5th November 2016. Coinciding with the National Day celebrations, the three-day event have witnessed the participation of Omani and international military music troupes.
This season, the spectacular military music concert is titled ‘Oman and the World’, to reflect the inclusion of first-class military bands from Korea and Georgia. Bands from the RGO, the Sultan’s Armed Forces, the Royal Air Force of Oman and the Royal Navy of Oman were also participating. Royal Guard of Oman Director General of Music Brigadier Ramis Bin Jaman Al Owaira was the conductor. In a display of military pageantry, hundreds of men and women from the armed forces of the three countries will march in dress uniforms while playing classic military music. The music performance was begun at 7 pm. The performances of the first day whould be presided over by Sayyid Asa’ad Bin Tariq Bin Taimour Al Said, Representative of His Majesty the Sultan.
