In the Bolatsay area of ​​the Ulytau district of the Karaganda region, the II International Festival of Ethno-Cultural Heritage “Zhezkiik” was held from August 23-24 within the framework of the “Rukhani Zhangyru” program.
At the grand opening of the festival, the world-famous Kazakh stunt group “Nomad Stunts” performed equestrian-acrobatic tricks. The program was continued by the Academic Orchestra of National Instruments named after Tattimbet, the folk and dance ensemble “Toqyrauyn Tolqyndary”, the folklore-choreographic ensemble “Akku”, the choreographic ensembles of Zhezkazgan and Satpayev and the others.
The gala concert also featured Kazakhstani pop stars Karakat Abildina and Kydyrali Bolmanov, the groups “Dos Mukasan”, “Ulytau”, “Alatau Serileri”, and the step group “Altyn Batyr”. But the main event of the festival was the performances of folklore ensembles: Italian folk music band “Moresca Nova” (Italy), “Carmen Guerrero Flamenca” Company (Spain), Serbian National orchestra “Abrasevic” (Serbia), “Duhaj” orchestra (Hungary), the folk-ethnogafic ensemble “Hassak” (Almaty). According to foreign musicians, they were inspired to come to Kazakhstan by the stories of their colleagues who attended the first festival “Jezkiik” last year. All the guests have considerable experience of participating in international festivals around the world, where they represent the musical culture and traditions of their people.
The honorary guest of the festival was the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
